Our Be Your Own Boss SRG members took part in their ninth session this week as we were joined again by Malcolm Hall to discuss all things structure, guidance and regulation. Malcolm led our members through a presentation about the legalities of setting up a business – including differentiating between business structures and all things VAT. In the second half of the session, Be Your Own Boss SRG members were introduced to the business pitches that they are encouraged to present at the Be Your Own Boss finale on January 24th, 2022. These pitches give our members a chance to practice telling others about their business plans and is the perfect experience to build confidence and promote themselves/their businesses to fellow supportive Be Your Own Boss SRG members and returning Trustees and Business Coaches that have joined us on our journey.
We wish all our members a very Merry Christmas, a Happy Holidays and a fantastic New Year – and thank them for joining us throughout this last portion of 2021 – we can’t wait to see what the New Year brings for you and your businesses, and we at Trust Leeds are so excited to hear your business pitches as we near to the end of the course!
Malcolm’s top tip: Set aside 1-2 hours each week to sort out your accounts/expenditure records – it will really help you in the long run!
