Women Friendly Leeds

Local and UK partnerships and alliances are fundamental to Trust Leeds’ growth, knowledge and relevance. We joined the wonderful members of Women Friendly Leeds at their first face-to-face meeting since lockdown began! Opening with a light lunch and refreshments, the Women Friendly team made a short presentation on the results of their women’s safety campaign in Leeds followed by a consultation and feedback workshop on current issues.

Trust Leeds’ Chief Executive Liza Kellett ran an interactive workshop to awaken the entrepreneurial spirit in all of us! This involved Coke -cans, bunting and a Self-Reliant Group box…fun activities which new Self-Reliant Group members undertake…if you’re intrigued then you’ll just have to start a Self-Reliant Group with our support! 30% of small businesses in Leeds are owned by women and we know that being a member of a Self-Reliant Group nurtures confidence, skills and purpose – for some of our members, this has already led to them starting their own businesses.
